Glenbuchat Castle
Glenbuchat is a good example of a late 16th-century Z-plan tower house, located in remote Strathdon countryside between the River Don and the Water of Buchat. The builder of Glenbuchat was John Gordon of Cairnburrow, who erected the new house to mark his marriage to Helen Carnegie, his second wife, in 1590.

Peterhead Prison Museum
HMP Peterhead was a prison in Peterhead in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, operating from 1888-2013. Since June 2016, the former grounds operate as the Peterhead Prison Museum. It was designed to hold 208 prisoners and to be Scotland's only convict prison . Occupancy averaged at around 350 however, until peaking at 455 in 1911. Additional buildings were completed in 1909, 1960 and 1962, bringing capacity up to 362. According to the Scottish Prison Service, the prison could, in 2012, accommodate up to

Royal Lochnagar Distillery
Royal Lochnagar distillery is situated on the south side of the River Dee close to Balmoral Castle. Age old traditions and craftmanship produce one of Scotland's most exclusive whiskies. A visit to Royal Lochnagar is a timeless experience. Today Royal Lochnagar is leased by Diageo from the Abergeldie Estate, and the distillery produces a relatively small amount of whisky, most of which is used in Johnnie Walker black and blue label.

Stonehaven Open Air Pool
Stonehaven Open Air Swimming Pool, Queen Elizabeth Park, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, is an Olympic sized heated open air public pool opened in 1934. It is the northernmost lido in the UK.This 55 yard x 20 yard open air pool is the UK's only art deco Olympic sized sea water lido. The water is heated and the pool is open from late May to early September. There is a Leisure Centre with indoor swimming pool next door. Other facilities include a paddling pool and a cafe.
