Djengu RiverDjengu River is a rapid river in the Dutch amusement park Toverland. It is one of the biggest attractions of Toverland and the fourth water attraction.The theming of the attraction revolves entirely around the Dvertebrae. Animatronics of the Dvertebrate are set up at various places along and around the attraction. The attraction's station is located in a large rock formation.
GeleenbeekThe Geleenbeek is a stream in the south of the Dutch province of Limburg that is part of the Meuse river basin. The partly canalized stream originates in Benzenrade and flows into the Maas at Stevensweert under the name Oude Maas. The stream valley with numerous side streams has been designated a Natura 2000 area and is largely located in the National Landscape of South Limburg.
IJzeren ManDe IJzeren Man is a 100 ha nature and recreation area located in Dutch Limburg. The area is located west of Weert and is part of Grenspark Kempen~Broek , which covers an area of 25,000 ha and is located in both the Netherlands and Belgium. The area is part of the outskirts of Altweerterheide and the Kazernelaanbuurt.
MaasplassenThe Maasplassen are artificial lakes on the Maas in Limburg's Maasland. The Maasplassen are gravel holes , they were created by the extraction of gravel that occurs due to deposition by the Meuse. Gravel mining on the Maas started in the 19th century. The gravel holes were left behind in the valley of the Meuse like large scars. A new purpose was found in water recreation. There were beaches, water sports areas, nature reserves, marinas and campsites.
MookerplasThe Mookerplas is a recreation area in the Dutch Limburg municipality of Mook en Middelaar. The area is 100 hectares and is located east of the river Maas. There is a large sandy beach with a large sunbathing lawn and there is also a smaller surfing beach and a meadow where small boats can moor.
ReindersmeerThe Reindersmeer is a dug lake in the Limburg municipality of Bergen. It has been managed by the municipality of Bergen since 2001 and has been part of the Maasduinen Park ever since. To prevent the surrounding agricultural land from drying out, a lock has been constructed in the canal between the Reindersmeer and Leukermeer. At least 22,500 ships carrying sand and gravel have sailed through the canal.
