AdventurePark HellendoornAdventurePark Hellendoorn is an amusement park in the Dutch town of Hellendoorn. The amusement park is located in a wooded area on the Luttenbergerweg west of Hellendoorn. To the south of the park are the Hellendoornse Berg and Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. The park started in 1936 as a tea house with a playground and has grown into a full-fledged amusement park.

Aqua MexicanaAqua Mexicana is a swimming paradise in the Dutch amusement park Slagharen. The water park has three swimming pools. One is a paddling pool , the second is a kiddie pool and then there is a normal pool. The normal pool is located in the pit of the former Rocky Mountain Springs pool. The swimming pool was opened in 2015 and has several slides from Van Egdom.

It has eleven water slides of varying lengths. The slides each have a slide and there is no swimming pool. It is the first outdoor slide park in an amusement park in the Netherlands . It can only be visited in combination with a visit to Avonturenpark Hellendoorn.

Arboretum Poort BultenArboretum Poort Bulten is an arboretum near the village of De Lutte in Twente . The arboretum has an area of 19 ha , of which approximately 10 ha is occupied by a forest strip and a pool landscape. The park also houses a large collection of boulders found on the route of the nearby A1 motorway. More than 1000 different types of trees and shrubs grow in the Poort Bulten arboretum.

Attractiepark de WaarbeekDe Waarbeek is an amusement park of 3.4 hectares , located near the Twente city of Hengelo .The park is mainly aimed at families with children between the ages of three and twelve. There are forty-four rides that are mostly old-fashioned in character, such as the Hully Gully . The main attraction of the park is the Toboggan Track : a roller coaster that is considered to be one of the oldest working steel roller coasters in the world.

BelterwijdeThe Belterwijde is a lake in the Kop van Overijssel southwest of Wanneperveen in the Dutch province of Overijssel. The lake is separated in an eastern and a western part by the Blauwehandseweg. On the north bank of the eastern part there are many recreational facilities in the form of campsites, bungalow parks and marinas, which are in line with the development of the Westeinde of the regional village of Wanneperveen.

BoerskottenBoerskotten is a nature reserve of approximately 133 hectares. Boerskotten was purchased in 1984 by the Natuurmonumenten association . During the construction of the A1, objections arose from nature and environmental organizations, because this highway was built right through the nature reserve. Both parts are connected by means of wildlife tunnels and an ecoduct . There are also connections with adjacent nature reserves such as De Snippert and the Duivelshof.

Boswachterij StaphorstBoswachterij Staphorst of Staatsbosbeheer is a 940 hectare forest and nature reserve in the eastern part of the municipality of Staphorst in the province of Overijssel . It is located in an otherwise agricultural environment. The forestry is crossed by dirt roads and several motorways. In the middle is the Zwarte Dennen swimming pond , with a landscaped sandy beach all around, which attracts many visitors for daytime recreation in summer time.

BuurserzandThe Buurserzand is a nature reserve near Haaksbergen in Overijssel. The largest part of the Buurserzand consists of dry heathland on old drifting sand with scrub heather and gorse. It is managed by the Vereniging Natuurmonumenten and consists largely of forest and heath. There are a few orchid meadows on wet grasslands with, among other things, spotted orchid and bell gentian.

De Dinkel, TwenteThe Dinkel is a small river in the border area of the Netherlands and Germany . It starts in North Rhine-Westphalia between Coesfeld and Ahaus . At Losser in Twente it enters the Netherlands , flows along the Lutterzand and leaves the Netherlands again near Ootmarsum, to flow at Neuenhaus into the Vechte which enters the Netherlands at De Haandrik and from there the ' Overijsselse Vecht ' is called.

De Peperbus of Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren met beiaardThe Peperbus is a late Gothic tower in Zwolle belonging to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption . "Peperbus" is actually the nickname of the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwetoren, which the tower owes to its shape, which resembles a pepperbus . With its height of 75 meters, the striking tower can be seen from afar. The Peperbus can be climbed up to the first entrance, which is located at a height of 51 meters. This is equivalent to 236 steps.

De Weerribben-Wieden National ParkWeerribben-Wieden National Park is a national park in the Dutch province of Overijssel , municipalities of Steenwijkerland and Zwartewaterland . The national park is the largest continuous peat bog in northwestern Europe. Comprising the largest bog of Northwestern Europe, the park consists of two areas, De Weerribben and De Wieden; it has an area of roughly 100 square kilometres . The park was founded in 1992, although De Wieden was added later, in 2009.

De WiedenDe Wieden is a lake and marsh area in the municipality of Steenwijkerland in the Kop of the Dutch province of Overijssel . It is an excavated low moor area . The Belterwijde and Beulakerwijde are two large peat lakes that are part of this nature reserve . Together with the Weerribben , the Weerribben-Wieden National Park forms an area of approximately 9,500 hectares. Together, the two areas form one of the most important wetlands in Europe.

Dino Land ZwolleDinoland Zwolle is a theme park in the Overijssel city of Zwolle .The play and activity park includes an indoor and outdoor environment with numerous toys and recreated dinosaurs. The indoor part includes a paleolab where you can search for gems. Everything revolves around dinosaurs . The park is mainly aimed at children up to the age of 14.
