GrevelingendamThe Grevelingendam is a dam in the Netherlands , located between the provinces of South Holland and Zeeland . The N59 runs over the 5.8 kilometer long dam. It is 5.8 kilometers long and connects the islands of Goeree-Overflakkee and Schouwen-Duiveland. The dam separates the Grevelingenmeer from the Krammer, which is actually part of the Oosterschelde, and part of the Volkerak.
PhilipsdamThe Philipsdam is part of the Delta Works . With the construction of the Philipsdam, the Krammer and Volkerak waters were immediately closed off from the Oosterschelde . The Philipsdam runs from the Grevelingendam to Sint Philipsland - after which the dam is named - and is signposted as N257.
Veerse GatdamThe Veerse Gatdam is a dam of about one kilometer between Vrouwepolder on Walchren and D'n Banjaerd on North-Beveland. This dam is part of the Delta Works .The dam is 2.8 kilometers long and connects Walcheren with Noord-Beveland . The dam is partly constructed as an asphalt - covered dike on the Plate of Onrust . For the remainder, submersible caissons were used.
