Culebra Peak

Access is limited, and a fee is charged to climb the peak. Mountain Home Reservoir is located in Costilla County, Colorado. The dam was built in 1912-1913. The reservoir is the site of the Mountain Home Reservoir State Wildlife Area, managed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. This lake is 130 acres in size. When fishing, anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Rainbow Trout.

Trinchera Peak
Trinchera Peak is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 3.860m above the sea level, located at the cornerstone of three counties in southern Colorado. As the cornerstone of three counties--Huerfano, Las Animas, and Costilla--the western slope is entirely on private land and unfortunately is not open to the public. The eastern slope is accessible from the Blue Lake area as well as the Purgatorie Campground.
