Kallanai DamThis is an ancient dam built across the river Kaveri. The dam was originally constructed by the Chola king Karikalan.
Mukkombu DamThe dam is built at the location where the Kaveri River leaves its tributary, named River Kollidam. The length of Mokkombu is 685 meters, and its layout was planned by Sir Arthur Cotton. Mukkombu is a beautiful picnic spot in the region. It is also called as the upper dam.
