Aiguille des Grands MontetsThe Aiguille des Grands Montets, in the Mont Blanc, is the name given to one of the peaks overlooking the village of Argentiere ( 1200 meters), in Chamonix. It peaks at 3295 meters. Skiing area and also trekking is possible here.

Arc BridgeThe Pont d’Arc is a 60m high and 34m wide natural bridge carved out of the rock face of the gorge over the Ardèche River in Ardeche. It’s a geological wonder and thousands of years of water and wind have eroded the stone into shaping this natural entrance to the Ardeche gorges. In the near vicinity of the arch is the Chauvet-Pont-d'Arc Cave, containing one of the earliest known Paleolithic cave paintings, about 30,000 years old.

Bartholdi FountainThe Fontaine Bartholdi is a fountain sculpted by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and realized in 1889 by Gaget & Gautier. It was erected at the Place des Terreaux, in the 1st arrondissement of Lyon, in September 1892. The fountain depicts France as a female seated on a chariot controlling the four great rivers of France represented by wildly rearing and plunging horses, highly individualized but symmetrically arranged, with bridles and reins of water weeds.

Bossons GlacierThe Bossons glacier claims to be the "largest icefall in Europe." It is certainly the fastest moving glacier (300m/year)and it also reacts very quickly to climate change. . It has the largest altitudinal drop of all the alpine glaciers in Europe, and formerly extended much further down the valley than it does today. Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l'AssomptionNotre-Dame de l'Assomption is a Gothic cathedral located in Clermont-Ferrand. It was built in 1248 in the center of the city of Clermont, the historic capital of Auvergne. It replaced a Romanesque cathedral located in the same place which itself had been preceded by two other Christian shrines. The cathedral is built at the top of the central hillock which forms the old center of Clermont-Ferrand.

Cathédrale Saint-Jean-BaptisteLyon Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church located on Place Saint-Jean in Lyon, France. The cathedral is dedicated to Saint John the Baptist and is the seat of the Archbishop of Lyon. The cathedral was founded by Saint Pothinus and Saint Irenaeus, the first two bishops of Lyon. Each December, Lyon holds an annual Festival of Lights.

Cévennes National ParkThe Cévennes National Park is a national park located in southern France, in the mountainous area of Cévennes. Created in 1970, the park has its administrative seat in Florac at Florac Castle. It is located mainly in the départements of Lozère and Gard and covers some parts of Ardèche and Aveyron. The Aven Armand cave is located in the park. In 2011, the Park was made a part of The Causses and the Cévennes, Mediterranean agro-pastoral Cultural Landscape UNESCO World Heritage site.

ChamrousseChamrousse is a ski resort in southeastern France, located in the mountains above Grenoble at the summit of the Belledonne range. It offers so many outdoor activities, including hiking, mountain biking, tennis, archery, climbing, horse riding, fishing, quad biking, and paragliding also. It is located in a commune of the same name and is situated on the Recoin at 1,650 m and the Roche Béranger at 1,750 m. The ski-lifts reach the Cross of Chamrousse at 2,253 m.

Chemin de fer du MontenversThe Montenvers Railway is a 5.1-kilometer-long metric gauge Haute-Savoie French cogwheel railway line. It was inaugurated in 1909, and connects Chamonix-Mont-Blanc to Montenvers, a viewpoint over the Mer de Glace which allows tourists to access an ice cave. In 2009, with more than 800,000 travelers, this line was the most frequented tourist attraction in the Rhône-Alpes region.The line is operated by the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc , which also manages many ski lift facilities in the Mont Blanc mass

Col de la Croix de FerCol de la Croix de Fer is a high mountain pass in the French Alps linking Le Bourg-d'Oisans and Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. The pass has featured in the Tour de France nineteen times since it was first passed in the 1947 tour when the race was led over the summit by Fermo Camellini. One of the beautiful locations in the area and also a nice picnic spot too.
