Helmut Kohl was chancellor of Germany beween 1982 to 1998. Until I was 17 I have not known any other person in charge. He was part of thee Germany unification process and a mentor to Angela Merkel. His grave is modest and in the middle of a park. If you are near by it is worth visiting.
