Thailand Visa on Arrival Requirements For Indian Citizens

Thailand Visa on Arrival Requirements For Indian Citizens

Thailand offers Visa on arrival for Indian Nationals with a validity of 15 days. You can obtain them in two ways:

  1. On arrival in Thailand. This facility is only available at Suvarnabhumi airport(Bangkok) and not recommended as there will be a long que to obtain the visa.
  2. Apply online. The visa will be valid in the following airports:
    1. Suvarnabhumi International Airport
    2. Don Mueang International Airport
    3. Chiang Mai International Airport
    4. Phuket International Airport

Documents required for the visa on arrival application:

  1. Passport with a validity of no less than 30 days from the date of arrival.
  2. Arrival and departure flight bookings.
  3. Hotel bookings. If you have multiple hotel bookings, combine them to one. If you are planning to stay with friends or family, you have to provide additional documents:
    1. Passport/ID card of the inviter (Color version).
    2. Invitation letter of inviter (should include applicant name who would like to visit, host name, host passport number, host telephone number, host address, guest name, purpose of visit, length of stay, host signature and host telephone number), Work permit of inviter (color version).
    3. Lease agreement/house registration of inviter.

It costs 2,000 THB (4,500 INR) to obtain the visa on arrival. If you are planning to apply online, there will be an additional cost of 500 THB (1,200 INR).
