A natural gorge up to 25 meters high formed by the Alacantara river cutting through lava stones. The water is super cold but you will get used to it within ten minutes. The river is not too deep but you can still swim a bit with the currents. The rock formations cut but by the river of course is u...

The last of the photo dump from Venice 🤐. Liminal, this exhibition created by Pierre Huyghe was the cherry on top of the whole Venice trip. The exhibition was eerie, beautiful, and dark at the same time. The sounds and the visuals were equally amazing.

Arsenale is one of the two main venues of the Venice Biennale. We arrived by boat, went in and had an amazing time here looking at a lot of contemporary art. The venue consists of a main pavilion and pavilions of many countries. The pavilions that I found the most visually appealing here were: The...

The second venue of the Venice Biennale. The art was amazing and if there was no limitation on the number of pictures I could upload, I would have uploaded 100 more. The most interesting pavilions here for me were: Germany, France, Bolivia, USA, Australia and the main pavilion. And for me Germany d...

St. Mark's SquareSt. Mark's Square - 30 May 2024
2
The principle square of Venice. It is surrounded by St. Mark's Basilica, a climbable Clocktower, a long arcade, and plenty of gondola and boat rides along the canal. It’s very crowded, so we didn't visit any attractions but enjoyed a walk through the square to take in the sights.

Fun fact! You can't reach the railway museum by train. Take a DiDi instead. The railway museum is quite impressive and exhibits a lot of historical trains. There is even a little restaurant in an old train. This museum is child friendly.

At 7.30 am we started our way up to visit the fort. It's 800+ steps and it is a good workout - but achievable. Bring a hat and water. Once on top, you can enjoy a magnificent view and a fascinating fortress that did not seem to be doing its job well. It got conquered already one year after the cons...
