About Fatehpur Sikri
The city founded as the capital of the Mughal Empire in 1571 by Emperor Akbar, serving this role from 1571 to 1585, when Akbar abandoned it due to a campaign in Punjab and was later completely abandoned in 1610. Today, it consists of a cluster of monuments- forts, stables, mosques etc., Buland Darwaza or the "Door of victory", is one of the main attractions here, which was the highest gateway in the world and this whole place is an example of Mughal architecture. Historic city of Mughal empire. There is a collection of monuments here- mosque, courtyards, horse stables, palace etc. You will need at least two to three hours to explore everything. World's largest gate- Buland Darwaza is also located here.
Bare in mind that the place can get super hot in summer time. Make sure to have enough water with you.
