About Almtal
The Almtal is a valley in the Traunviertel in the Upper Austrian Alps through which the Alm flows. As the Lower Almtal , the valley area is one of the 41 Upper Austrian spatial units ; as the Almtal tourist region , it is part of the Salzkammergut . It stretches between the Trauntal in the west and Kremstal in the east for about 25 km in the Upper Austrian Pre-Alps.Address : Almtal, 4655 Vorchdorf, Austria

Flattnitz PassFlattnitz Pass is a high mountain pass in the Austrian Alps. It was located in the state of Carinthia, connecting Glödnitz in the Gurk valley with Stadl on the Mur river, beyond the border with Styria. The pass height comprises a dispersed settlement with a high-altitude sanatorium and an Alpine lake. It is a popular destination for hikers and for cross-country skiers in winter.
LaudachseeA beautiful lake between the mountains in the Upper Austrian part of the Salzkammergut and neighbour to the larger Traunsee. It is one of the favourite excursions for hikers and mountaineers on Grünberg mountain. Lake Laudachsee is also the starting point for alpine tours up or around the impressive Traunstein at 1,691 meters.
TraunsteinTraunstein is the highest mountain on the east bank of Traunsee in the district of Gmunden, Austria. As measured by the height above sea level of its summit it is 1,691 metres high. Because of its almost vertical walls ending directly in the lake and secluded, advanced position Traunstein looks like a boulder in the landscape. Quiet risky trekking location and also there are options for many other adventures too.

The facility has existed since 1957 and has carried over six million passengers since then. The initial two-cable gondola lift was dismantled in 2013, and the new aerial tramway , which opened in 2014, was built in its place .
Schloss OrtSchloss Ort is an Austrian castle situated in the Traunsee lake, in Gmunden, 19 kilometre from Vöcklabruck, the gate to Salzkammergut. It was probably built around 1140 by the Lengenbach family, was first mentioned in 1201. Then it was a moated castle with 4 corner towers.
Kremsmünster AbbeyKremsmünster Abbey is a Benedictine monastery in Kremsmünster in Upper Austria . It has been the spiritual and economic center of the region since it was founded in 777 . The monastery is also known for the observatory and for the grammar school. The Kremsmünster Abbey Library is one of the largest and oldest in Austria. The magnificent 65-metre long room contains about 160,000 volumes, the most famous of which is the Codex Millenarius dating from around 800.
