5 FingersThe "5fingers" viewing platform in Obertraun is one of the most spectacular viewing platforms in Austria and offers adrenaline rushes at the highest level. It was named "5 Fingers" by virtue of its hand-like shape. The individual fingers, which are approximately 4 m long fingers, are built over a precipice of about 400 m depth. The observation deck is illuminated at night, making it visible from Hallstatt and Obertraun.

AlmseeAlmsee is a lake in Upper Austria's part of the Salzkammergut in the Almtal valley, 11 kilometers south of the village of Grünau im Almtal. A good picnic and camping location where you have possibilities of fishing bathing and so more. The lake drains through the Alm River. Since 1965, the area around the Almsee is under nature conservation.

AlmtalThe Almtal is a valley in the Traunviertel in the Upper Austrian Alps through which the Alm flows. As the Lower Almtal , the valley area is one of the 41 Upper Austrian spatial units ; as the Almtal tourist region , it is part of the Salzkammergut . It stretches between the Trauntal in the west and Kremstal in the east for about 25 km in the Upper Austrian Pre-Alps.

Alpine Club Austria - SimonyhütteThe Simonyhütte is a refuge of the Austrian Alpine Association named after the geographer and alpine researcher "Friedrich Simony. The hut has offered mountain climbers protection and accommodation for 135 years. But the Simonyhütte is more than just a refuge - it is a training center for numerous courses and courses on rock and ice, it is a daily destination for hikers and ski mountaineers and, last but not least, it is an important base for climbing the Dachstein.

AtterseeAttersee, also known as Kammersee, English sometimes Lake Atter, is the largest lake of the Salzkammergut region in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. It is Austria's third largest lake by area, surpassed only by Lake Constance and Lake Neusiedl, which, however, both extend beyond national borders. Due to its steady winds and clean water quality, Attersee is famous for attracting sailors and swimmers alike.

Basilika St. MichaelMondsee Abbey was a Benedictine monastery in Mondsee in Upper Austria. This gothic former monastery is just as striking today as ever. Its two towers stretch 52m into the sky. This late gothic church was constructed in the 15th century under the direction of abbot Benedikt Eck and is the second biggest church in Upper Austria.

BöhmerwaldThe Bohemian Forest , in Czech Šumava , is a mountain range about 120 km long and up to 50 km wide, which stretches along the Czech - German - Austrian border. After the Giant Mountains and Jeseníky Mountains, it is the third highest rump mountain range in the Bohemian Massif . The highest mountain in the Bohemian Forest is the Great Arber at 1,456 m . The asteroid of the central main belt Šumava was named after the mountain range.

BosruckThe Bosruck is at 1992 m above sea level. A. Height of the westernmost mountain in the Ennstal Alps on the border between Upper Austria and Styria . It is separated from the main ridge of the Haller Walls by the Pyhrgasgatterl and forms its own, ridge-like mountain stock made of limestone. In front of the Bosruck on the ridge to the west are the peaks Lahnerkogel and Kitzstein , to the east is the Frauenmauer .

Burg ClamBurg Clam was built in 1149 by Otto von Machland who owned all of Upper Austria. At that time it was a fortress consisting of two towers over 30 meters high. These two impressive buildings, one round and one rectangular, still exist in the very same shape today. It is still the residence of Count Clam and can also be visited as such. The visitors get an impression of what life was like in a castle.

It is one of the iconic attraction in this area and the ice with its fascinating, glistening shapes and figures, is immersed in light and music.

Due to its attractive tourist location on the west bank of the Mondsee , it is a popular destination for hikes from St. Lorenz . Your forested southern side has only a slight slope to the north, however, making it an impressive, about 700 meters high, nearly vertical rock wall that the panorama of the northern Mondsee dominated .
