Almsee
Almsee is a lake in Upper Austria's part of the Salzkammergut in the Almtal valley, 11 kilometers south of the village of Grünau im Almtal. A good picnic and camping location where you have possibilities of fishing bathing and so more. The lake drains through the Alm River. Since 1965, the area around the Almsee is under nature conservation.

Attersee
Attersee, also known as Kammersee, English sometimes Lake Atter, is the largest lake of the Salzkammergut region in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. It is Austria's third largest lake by area, surpassed only by Lake Constance and Lake Neusiedl, which, however, both extend beyond national borders. Due to its steady winds and clean water quality, Attersee is famous for attracting sailors and swimmers alike.

Gosauseen
A beautiful picturesque mountain lake situated between the impressive Dachstein Glacier and the mighty peaks of the Gosaukamm. Experience hiking, climbing, or diving during your visit to Lake Gosau in the Salzkammergut. In the case of Gosaulacke, rain and water from thawing snow feed the lake. Its main inflow comes from the medium-sized inner lake and the main outflow feeds the much larger outer lake.

Hallstätter See
Hallstätter See is a lake in the Salzkammergut, Austria. It is named after Hallstatt, a small market town famous for its salt mining since prehistoric times and for being the starting point of the world's oldest still-working industrial pipeline, used to transport brine to Bad Ischl and further to Ebensee. Its surface is approximately 8.55 km2 and its maximum depth is 125 metres. It is a popular destination for tourists, especially scuba divers.

Hinterer Gosausee
A beautiful hiking trail along the Vorderen Gosau lake, to the Gosaulacke and on to the Hinterer Gosau lake. You have a wonderful view of the Dachstein. It is best to walk along the left side of the Vorderen Gosau lake, here you have the Dachstein with its glacier in view. Past the Gosaulacke there are a few steep passages towards the goal. Again and again you have great views of King Dachstein.

Irrsee
A beautiful lake located in the Salzkammergut, Austria. It is 3.5 km2 in area and its maximum depth is 32 metres. It is a popular tourist destination. A good picnic location and also a good camping site. Fishing and bathing is also possible here.

Langbathseen
The Langbathseen are two mountain lakes in Upper Austria's part of the Salzkammergut, 8 kilometers from Ebensee. Its excellent visibility makes the Vorderer Langbathsee a popular diving site. Laudachsee
A beautiful lake between the mountains in the Upper Austrian part of the Salzkammergut and neighbour to the larger Traunsee. It is one of the favourite excursions for hikers and mountaineers on Grünberg mountain. Lake Laudachsee is also the starting point for alpine tours up or around the impressive Traunstein at 1,691 meters.

Offensee
A beautiful mountain lake located in the Upper Austrian part of the Salzkammergut in the municipality of Ebensee am Traunsee. The nutrient-poor lake, with its largely natural shores and the strongly structured vegetation belt with adjacent wetlands, offers habitats for many animal and plant species; the area has been a nature reserve since 1965. It is a popular swimming lake and excursion destination.

Schiederweiher
A beautiful artificial lake in Hinterstoder, Upper Austria, created by impounding the river Krumme Steyr. The pond resides at the altitude of 612 m above sea level at the foot of the Großer Priel in the Totes Gebirge mountain range. Calcium-rich marl covers the lake bottom where stoneworts and common water-crowfoots grow. The southern bank displays a strip of phragmites, other shores only show sparse patches of common reed and a wet meadow borders in the west.

Steyr
The Steyr is a river in Upper Austria. Its length is approx. 68 km. Its drainage basin is 917 km2. Rising in the Totes Gebirge at Hinterstoder, it flows into the Enns in the town Steyr. There both rivers form a "Y". The city of Steyr uses this "Y" for marketing purposes. An iconic location for a shirt picnic and also there are so many things to see and do here.

Traunsee
Traunsee is a lake in the Salzkammergut, Upper Austria, Austria. Its surface is approximately 24.5 km2 and its maximum depth of 191 metres makes it the deepest and by volume largest lake that's located entirely within Austrian territory, only Lake Constance on the border is deeper and bigger. It is a popular tourist destination, and its attractions include Schloss Ort, a medieval castle. The lake is surrounded by mountains, including the Traunstein.
