Maritiem Centrum "Abraham Fock"The Maritime Center Abraham Fock is a museum in Hollum on the Wadden Island of Ameland . In the museum you can find a collection about navigation , radio communication and rescue operations. There is also a replica of a ship 's bridge and it is the base of the horse rescue boat . About fourteen times a year a demonstration is given from the center in which ten horses pull the lifeboat towards the beach southwest of Hollum. Artist Barbera Hofker-Esser made a tile tableauof the horse rescue boat.

The horses are buried in the dunes on the east side of the Lifeboat Path. It is not a horse grave with a deceased person. A memorial stone commemorates the disaster day. The stone of Swedish granite was donated to the island by the company Hoogenberg-Wegerif. The funerary monument was placed on Saturday morning December 15, 1979.
