This is such a fabulous place to visit. It is absolutly breathtaking. Be very sure you have enough energy when you go. It can be very hot and you have a lot of stair-climbing to do. Most people go for the sunset which can make you a little tired through the day but it is certainly worth it.

To visit the tempel premises you have to get up really early because it can get super hot during the day. Plan at least 5 to 8 hours, if you want to see the majority of the ruins. You can buy your tickets early in the morning at the ticket counter and wait with all the other tourists for the sunrise. You know the drill. Angkor Wat is getting really croweded so please make sure you take your garbage with you when you leave. Drink enough water and bring sunscreen. Don't forget to read up on the history of the place or hire a guide to make the most of your expirience.
