The Aflenzer Bürgeralm, is an alpine settlement in the market town of Aflenz in Styria. It is located north of Aflenz Kurort and below the Windgrube, a secondary peak in the Hochschwab group . It consists of several restaurants and numerous accommodations and is accessed not only by the access road but also by a chairlift. Sports can be practiced on the Bürgeralm both in summer and in winter.

Altausseer See

The Altausseer See is a mountain lake at the southwest foot of the Dead Mountains in the Styrian part of the Salzkammergut. The center of the municipality of Altaussee is on the west bank . The outlet of the Altausseer See is the Altausseer Traun , which drains via the Traun into the Danube. The lake, with its largely undeveloped shores and adjoining wetlands, offers habitats for many animal and plant species and has been a nature reserve since 1959.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, one of Austria’s greatest celebrities has his own museum in the village where he was born. Here they have preserved the kitchen and for some reason the toilet in its original state. The rest of the rooms are devoted to the bodybuilder, his film career and of course the years as Governor of California. You find the museum in the village of Thal, just 15 minutes by car from the Styrian capital Graz in south eastern Austria.

Bärenschützklamm

The Bärenschützklamm in the Austrian state of Styria is a water-bearing rocky gorge with limestone walls up to 300 m high. It was declared a natural monument in 1978. Since 1901, a climbing system made of wooden bridges and ladders has allowed people to climb through it and opened it up for tourism. The gorge is normally open from May up to and including October, entry is permitted daily from 7.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

A majestic glacier located between the towns of Ramsau am Dachstein in the south and Hallstatt and Obertraun in the north, in Austria. Snow is at the top of the glacier throughout the year. However snow is soft in summer. It remains snow-covered for much of the year. This mountain is located at the borders of Salzburg, Upper Austria and Styria. The train stops at Schladming and from there is a bus to the village below the Dachstein Mountains.

The Dachstein Glacier ski area, is located on the Dachstein massif and is accessible via the Dachstein Südwandbahn cable car from Ramsau in the upper Ennstal. The area is in the province of Upper Austria , but belongs to the Styrian Tourist Association Holiday Region Schladming-Dachstein . The ski area is a member of the Salzburg -Styrian Ski amadé and is still in the UNESCO World Heritage area of Hallstatt-Dachstein/Salzkammergut .

The Duisitzkarsee is a cirque lake in the Schladminger Tauern in the Austrian state of Styria . Due to its idyllic location, the popular photo motif is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Styria. The lake has been accessible since 1997 by a forest road that is closed to motorized private traffic and leads up from the Eschachalm. Three hiking trails lead from different directions to the Duisitzkarsee.

The Grebenzen is a high, karstified plateau mountain in the Gurktal Alps on the border between Styria and Carinthia in Austria. Around the highest point are several karst caves. The largest cave is the Wilde Loch. The ski area, also called Grebenzen, is located on the north side of the Grebenzen.
