Short Hikes
The Lierbach stream cascades as a natural waterfall, down seven steps, a total drop of 83 metres creating All Saints Waterfalls. The waterfalls belonged for centuries to a monastery- All Saints' Abbey, the ruins of which are only a few hundred metres away. Because they lie in a deeply incised and narrow valley, they were inaccessible for a long time.

One of the major religious, cultural and political centres of the region from 13th to 18th century. A bolt of lightning struck the church tower in 1804, causing a large fire and destroying the building completely. Previously, two large fires in 1470 and 1555 had already destroyed parts of the monastery premises.

The museum had more than 3,000 exhibits and an exhibition area of more than 50,000 m2 (540,000 sq ft), indoors and outdoors. It is the largest private museum in Europe. With a Tupolev Tu-144 on display since 2001 and Air France donating one of its retiring Concorde aircraft (F-BVFB), it is the only place where both supersonic passenger aircraft are shown. Both are fully accessible to the public.

With an overall length of 1,250 metres and a top height of 20 metres, the treetop walk meanders through the beech trees, firs and spruces of the mountain forest. There is a 40-metre-high, architecturally unique observation tower here that gives panoramic views of the forest.

Rising 1,414 meters (4,639 ft) above sea level, it is the fourth highest summit of the Black Forest. The border of the municipalities of Münstertal, Schönenberg and Kleines Wiesental meet on the summit dome. The domed, treeless summit has a profile that, seen from the Upper Rhine Plain, is almost symmetrical.

Black Forest Open Air Museum

One of the most visited open-air museum in Germany and Europe. There are six fully furnished farmhouses here, centred on the Vogtsbauernhof farmhouse dating from 1612, which was built on this site. Other buildings from the Black Forest have been dismantled, transported to the museum and reassembled. Around the buildings are farm animals and a herb gardens. Demonstrations of exhibitions illustrate the crafts, tools, customs, traditions, work and lifestyle of former times.

Literally translated to "Blue pot", it is a spring that serves as the source of the river Blau. It is a drain for the Blau cave system, originating from a funnel-like shape with a depth of 21 metres (69 ft). The water's peculiarly blue color, varying in intensity depending on weather and flow, is the result of physical properties of the nanoscale limestone particles densely distributed in the water.

One of the oldest inhabited castles in Germany, located on a rocky outcropping ovelooking Lake Constance. Portions of the castle are open visitors on self-guided tours. The remainder of the castle is occupied by the descendants of Karl Mayer von Mayerfels from Munich who bought the castle in 1877.

Largest theme park in Germany, and the second most popular theme park resort in Europe, following Disneyland Paris. The park is home to 13 roller coasters, and can accommodate approximately 60,000 guests per day. Since 2014, Europa-Park has been named the world's best amusement park by the Golden Ticket Awards.

At 1,493 metres (4,898 ft) the Feldberg in the Black Forest is the highest mountain in Baden-Württemberg, and the highest in Germany outside of the Alps. The whole area, with ski-runs of Alpine character, is popular for ski touring.

German Clock Museum

situated near the centre of the Black Forest town of Furtwangen im Schwarzwald, a historical centre of clockmaking. It features permanent and temporary exhibits on the history of timekeeping, and is a part of the local technical college. The castle ruins are among the most important Renaissance structures north of the Alps. It is located 80 meters (260 ft) up the northern part of the Königstuhl hillside and thereby dominates the view of the Heidelberg oldtown.

Founded in 1933 and opened for the public on 20 November 1934, the zoo was totally destroyed during bombings in March 1945. Since 1972, the reformation began and slowly added more and more animal enclosures which includes an elephant house that was opened in 2010.

An extinct volcano with the ruins of a castle on its top. Hohentwiel began forming, along with the chain of volcanoes in the Hegau region, about 7–8 million years ago. Hohentwiel Castle, whose ruins are on top of Hohentwiel, was built in 914 using stone taken from the mountain by Burchard II, Duke of Swabia.

Ancestral seat of the imperial House of Hohenzollern. The third of three hilltop castles built on the site, it is located atop Mount Hohenzollern. The third, and current, castle was built between 1846 and 1867 as a family memorial by Hohenzollern descendant King Frederick William IV of Prussia. No member of the Hohenzollern family was in permanent or regular residence when it was completed.
