On a cold and windy autumn day, we went to Drachenfels castle. There are several hiking routes through the nearby forests that get you to the castle that sits on a mountain side. The hike was nice, through the autumn colored trees, we even went to the old ruins of a fortification that sits much higher on a cliff side. Fun fact, the stones used to build the famous Cologne cathedral were extracted from here.
The entry to the castle is priced at 7 euro for adults. Will recommend highly to visit, the interiors are very pretty.Nithin MathewVisisted on 17 Sep 2022
