Shillong has one of the air force bases of India and naturally, they have an air force museum as well. You can learn about Indian Air Force history and its iconic leaders and personnas and also wander through an open field that displays fighter planes, helicopters, artilleries, missiles and many other equipments. This is a great place to learn about the Indian air force. And be prepared for very tedious security checks at the entry. It's mandatory to bring any national identity card or the entry will be denied.
