About Les Arcs

Les Arcs is a ski resort located in Savoie, France, in the Tarentaise Valley town of Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Initially created by Robert Blanc and Roger Godino, it is a part of the huge Paradiski system which is under ownership by Compagnie des Alpes, a French-listed company owning several other ski resorts as well as theme parks.

Little Saint Bernard PassThe Little St Bernard Pass is a mountain pass in the Alps on the France–Italy border. Its saddle is at 2188 meters above sea level. It is located between Savoie, France, and Aosta Valley, Italy, to the south of the Mont Blanc Massif, exactly on the main alpine watershed. There is also a Great St. Bernard Pass, famous for giving St Bernard breed its name, and a San Bernardino Pass.

Testa del RutorThe Testa del Rutor, also known locally as the Ruiter, is a mountain in the high Graian Alps3 486 m. The summit is located near the Italian-French watershed which descends southwards from the Piccolo San Bernardo hill. It is totally located in the Italian territory in the territories of the municipalities of Valgrisenche and La Thuile. One of the nice trekking destination and also a good viewpoint too.

Cormet de RoselendCormet de Roselend is a high mountain pass in the Alps in the department of Savoie in France. It connects Beaufort in the Beaufortain valley and Bourg-Saint-Maurice in the Tarentaise Valley. On the west side of the pass lies the Lac de Roselend, a reservoir that can be reached by the Col de Méraillet or the Col du Pré. One of the beautiful locations in this area and a nice picnic spot too.

Vanoise National ParkFirst National Park created in France in 1963 to protect Alpine ibexes, the National Park of Vanoise celebrates its 50 years. It is situated between the valleys of Tarentaise and Maurienne. No less than 1800 ibexes, 4000 chamois, and 120 species of birds can be found here as well as an exceptional native flora.

Lago d' ArpyThe lake Arpy is a lake basin of the Valle d'Aosta. It is Of glacial origin, enclosed between Mont Charvet, Becca Pouegnenta, and Mount Colmet. It has become the second most important body of water in Armenia, next to Lake Sevan. It is used for irrigation and hydropower production. The lake is fed by meltwater and four streams, and it is the source of the Akhurian River.

Rifugio ElisabettaThe Elisabetta Soldini Montanaro refuge is a refuge located in the municipality of Courmayeur, at the bottom of Val Veny, in the Graian Alps, at 2,195 m asl. It was built in 1953. Thirty years later, in 1983, it was significantly expanded. It is named after the hiker Elisabetta Soldini Montanaro, who tragically died in the mountains. It is the stopping point of the Alta via Della Valle d'Aosta n. 2, trail hiking in the Valle d'Aosta.
