Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is located on the north coastline of Germany and has 1.94% of Germany's population. Its capital is Schwerin, and Rostock is the largest city. The big cities in the state include Stralsund, Wismar, Neubrandenburg, Greifswald, and Güstrow. The state was established in 1945 by the merger of Prussian Western Pomerania and Mecklenburg.

Gorch Fock I

Gorch Fock I is a German barque with three masts, the first of a series built-in 1933. It has five sister ships and was taken as war reparations by the Soviet Union after World War II and renamed Tovarishch; then, it sailed under Ukraine before being transferred to Stralsund in 2003. It is currently a museum ship.

Granitz Hunting Lodge is located on Rügen Island near Binz's seaside resort. With over 200,000 visitors a year, it is the most famous castle in the state. The lodge lies in the middle of the forested Granitz ridge, built on the highest hill in East Rügen, 107 m above sea level. From the observation platform, 145 metres above sea level, on the roof of the tower, there is a panoramic view in all directions, especially over the south and east of Rügen.

A dock located in Heringsdorf, with 508 meters into the Baltic Sea from the island of Usedom. In 1891–1893, a wooden dock built in settlement of Heringsdorf, which was the longest pier in Europe. In 1958, the whole pier was burned down by a fire and rebuilt in 1995. The pier now has a Museum of the Concert Shell, cinema, café, restaurant, fitness center, tourist gift shops and a holiday village.

Formerly Peenemünde Information Centre for History and Technology, a museum, established in 1991, in the observation site of the former power station in Peenemünde on Usedom Island, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The museum focuses on the history of the Peenemünde Army Research Centre and the Luftwaffe test site, mainly the rockets and missiles developed between 1936 and 1945.

This nature reserve was founded in 1990 on the Jasmund peninsula, located northeast of Rügen island in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. It is known for having the largest chalk cliffs in Germany. The cliffs are heigh up to 161 m above the Sea, with an area of 30 km2. Its beech forest was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011.

A Castle in Schwerin city, the capital of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is located on an island in Lake Schwerin, and most parts of the castle was built between 1845 - 1857. For centuries the castle was the home of the dukes and grand dukes of Mecklenburg and later Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Today parts of it serve as the residence of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state parliament, other parts are open for tourists.

St. Mary's Church, Rostock

It is one of the biggest three town churches in the Hanseatic city of Rostock. In 1265, St. Mary's was designated as the main parish church. The church is a large Brick Gothic church. Built in the 13th century, it was enlarged and modified at the end of the 14th century into the present basilica.

The church is the oldest of the three major parish churches in Stralsund in Germany and dedicated in 1279 to St. Nicholas of Myra, the patron saint of sailors. It is an Evangelical Lutheran church since 1524. The wealth of the city of Stralsund was reflected in the very large number of altars in the church. There were no less than 56 altars in the chancel, nave, and between the buttresses of the aisles. The bulk of the altars were removed from the church after the Bildersturm of 1525.

Warnemünde Church

A neogothic church building in Warnemünde. The church of Warnemünde stands for over one hundred years in the middle of the town and is the center of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation. In addition to being a place of rest and prayer, it has also even given protection from flooding. The church also has votive ships inside: they are a votive offering often given to churches in gratitude for the preservation and protection on the high seas.
