BorgmerenThe Borgmeren are two lakes in the municipality of Midden-Groningen in the Dutch province of Groningen . The northern lake is called Borgmeren or Harkstederplas, has an area of 70 hectares and falls under the village of Harkstede . The residential area De Borgmeren is located here. The southern lake is called the Scharmerplas, has an area of 20 hectares and falls under the village of Scharmer . Recreational Park De Borgmeren is located here.
Drentsche AaThe Drentsche Aa is a river rising in the Dutch province of Drenthe, flowing through Drenthe and for the last part the province of Groningen. Many sailboats are moored in the lake, because the Zuidlaardermeer is one of the few suitable lakes for sailing in the region.
