't Huis de Wolft Huis de Wolf is a monumental country house in neo -Renaissance style in the Groningen town of Haren. . The mansion is named after an inn of the same name, which stood on the same piece of land in 1691 and possibly before and was probably replaced by a larger building before 1818.The Wassenaar family probably lived permanently in 't Huis de Wolf from 1900 to 1911.

't Roegwold't Roegwold has been an artificially constructed nature reserve in the municipalities of Midden-Groningen and (for a small part) Appingedam in the area of the Hunze en Aa's water board in the low-lying area of Duurswold in the Dutch province of Groningen . The area is managed by Staatsbosbeheer .

BevrijdingsbosThe Bevrijdingsbos is a forest on the edge of the city of Groningen near Noorddijk , between the Lewenborg district and the village of Garmerwolde. The forest was planted in 1995 at the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands , as a thank you and tribute to the Canadian liberators of Groningen in April 1945. Through the forest is a path with large stones from 10 different countries, with the Ten Rights of the Child on it.

BorgmerenThe Borgmeren are two lakes in the municipality of Midden-Groningen in the Dutch province of Groningen . The northern lake is called Borgmeren or Harkstederplas, has an area of 70 hectares and falls under the village of Harkstede . The residential area De Borgmeren is located here. The southern lake is called the Scharmerplas, has an area of 20 hectares and falls under the village of Scharmer . Recreational Park De Borgmeren is located here.

De OnlandenThe De Onlanden area is located in the north of Drenthe and is approximately 2500 ha. big. The name chosen in 2009 is due to the combination of large-scale nature development and large-scale water storage , which makes part of the area 'onland' again. The official credo for the project that led to the design of the area is 'Wet nature for dry feet'.

De Onlanden, Madijk, EelderwoldeThe De Onlanden area is located in the north of Drenthe and is approximately 2500 ha. It is the result of a redevelopment project near Peize, which covers 6000 hectares. The aim of this project is to improve the agricultural structure, but at the same time to accelerate the construction of nature reserves and to realize a large water storage area.

De Oude HortusThe Oude Hortus is a publicly accessible garden in the Hortusbuurt in the city of Groningen. The garden, located between Grote Rozenstraat and Grote Kruisstraat, was founded in 1626 by pharmacist and amateur botanist Hendrick Munting. The garden is still home to many species of animals and especially plants, including several species of stinsen plants , such as the imperial crown , wild garlic and winter aconite .

Doolhof Landgoed De BraakThis is a 29-hectare estate of Natuurmonumenten on the north side of Paterswolde , consisting of park forest, meadows and mixed forest. At the beginning of the 19th century, the landscape-style park forest was designed by the landscape gardener Roodbaard, with winding lanes and graceful ponds. There is a maze and berceau in De Braak. Nearby, the estate is known for its rookery of up to 400 pairs, and the blue heron colony of 30 pairs. The centuries-old trees serve as shelter for many bats.

Drentsche AaThe Drentsche Aa is a river rising in the Dutch province of Drenthe, flowing through Drenthe and for the last part the province of Groningen. It ends in the Schipsloot near Haren, which flows into the Noord-Willemskanaal; however, originally it ended into the Selwerderdiep. The water finally ends in the Lauwersmeer and Waddenzee.

Foundation Museum Havezate MensingeMensinge is an authentically furnished manor near Roden in the province of Drenthe . The house, which was privately inhabited until 1985, can be viewed by visitors.The manor house has a large forest with walking routes, the Mensingebos.Because the house has been inhabited for a long time and has remained virtually unchanged in recent decades, the interior gives a good idea of how people used to live. It is as if the residents have gone away for a while.

GorechtparkThe Gorechtpark is a park in the Dutch municipality of Midden-Groningen. The park is fifty hectares and was created in the 1960s . There is a deer park and a petting zoo in the park . The Gorechtvijver, one of the ponds in the park, is used as an ice rink in winter . On the west side is a clubhouse of a scouting group.

Grafisch Museum GroningenGRID Graphic Museum Groningen is a museum in the Dutch city of Groningen that is dedicated to the graphic arts and crafts . It is also a training center for graphic techniques and regularly hosts exhibitions of graphic artists. Until the beginning of 2015, it was located in the Rivierenbuurt , near the Groningen main station . Since 2015, the museum has been located on Sint Jansstraat, next to the Martinikerk and the Grote Markt , with a view of Forum Groningen .

The city council meets in a modern room downstairs, but upstairs in the former raadszaal the Gulden Boek is kept that lists the honored citizens of the town.The building was designed by the architect Jacob Otten Husly who won the commission in 1775 as the result of a prize competition that was set out by his personal friend, the council member and ex-amsterdam professor Petrus Camper.

The lake was created by sucking away the sand layer that lies under a peat layer. In summer, the Hoornsemeer is popular with townspeople and other holidaymakers from the area. In autumn and winter, the lake is home to various migratory birds and ducks.

HoornseplasThe Hoornseplas is a recreational lake south of the city of Groningen in the municipalities of Groningen and Tynaarlo. The Hoornse Plas includes a playing and splashing pond, sandy beaches and playing and sunbathing areas. The southern part of the Hoornse Plas is an area where free recreation is allowed: it is a popular nudist beach . Until the summer of 2006, the so-called 'paalberg' stood on the northern bank.
